I to had trouble deciding which bike to purchase after having a 15 year break. After checking out several different models, I decided on the Savage.
Pros:
Inexpensive, reliable, a nice look, good Gas mileage, and it just felt right.
Cons: (After about two years of ownership)
Light weight...You do get blown around a little on the highway.
Sound....(After market pipes can remedy this)
If you're concerned about the small gas tank, take in consideration the weight and mileage of other bikes. I'm not sure if this will help or not....mine has never failed to start.
